Formula 1 is heading to the hills of Austria for back-to-back races at the Red Bull Ring. To spice up the things, Pirelli is bringing two different sets of tyre compounds for the double header.
Max Verstappen and Red Bull will be heading to their home race in high spirits after winning three in a row including first race of the triple header at Paul Ricard in dramatic fashion.
They will be looking to take a third win in four years at this circuit to really assert their dominance in both title fights and build on to their leads. But World champions Mercedes will fancy their chances of enjoying themselves too, having won six of the eight races that have taken place at the track since it returned to the calendar in 2014.
2020 season struggles at Austria GP double header will be in Red Bull’s mind, Mercedes & Lewis Hamilton dominated 2020 Styrian GP by winning nearly 34 seconds ahead of third placed Max Verstappen.
We have to wait until Sunday, June 27th to know whether Mercedes will dominate Red Bull once again in 2021 on their home turf or Red Bull will keep the winning streak going to four.
