After a disaster Turbo hybrid era, F1 entering into the new era of technical regulations in 2022 with a high hopes of seeing closer fight among the teams. But F1 car launch season revealed a different story, all teams came up with a distinguish car design. History showed us that new regulations will always bring some surprises and a clear winner will be at the helm from the first race.
The 5.412km length Bahrain International Circuit set to host the season opener for the second consecutive year during March 18-20 weekend. You can usually expect great racing and decent amounts of overtaking during 57 lap battle in Bahrain, while the drivers have to contend with wind, racing under floodlights and the difficulty of finding a decent set-up with the wide temperature fluctuations between sessions.
The track’s most challenging point is the tight, downhill, off-camber Turn 10 left-hander, while the fast run through Turn 12 is another highlight, allowing the racers to really feel their cars coming alive.
In 2021, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton won a nail-biting Bahrain Grand Prix season opener, triumphing over eventual championship winner Max Verstappen in a fantastic duel in the desert that went down to the very last lap of the race, as the second Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas completed the podium.
