Twitter Reacts to India’s exit from World Cup

Winning and losing are part of sports, one should take both gracefully. As a fan, it bothers more When your beloved team had the potential to win the World Cup but lost to a lowered rank team in a low scoring game.

All Indian Cricket fans are heartbroken after their sides another shock semi-final exit from World Cup. India was arguably favorites to win the contest which was delayed by rain.

India’s bowling unit did everything correct and restricted opponents to a moderate total of 239/8. But their Batting collapsed in an uncharacteristic way and ended 18 runs short of the target.

Kohli’s comment after match

Who should be blamed?

Losing is part of the game, but Kohli needs to be criticized for his batting efforts in this World Cup. He didn’t perform up to his standards, surprisingly he didn’t score a single century in this World Cup. World class players perform better under pressure, the opportunity was presented to him in today’s match to show World why he is No.1 ranked batsman after his team loses both openers in quick session, unfortunately, he botched it.

Team selectors deserved to criticized for their selection. India’s main weakness is the middle order batting and they failed to address that issue. Instead of selecting proper batsmen like Rahane or Rayadu they went with Jadhav and Karthick.

Injuries to Dhawan and Shankar certainly not helped India. But that is the case for all teams, injuries will impact a big way. Somehow this Indian team lacks firepower compared to the 2011 winning team. So selectors need to do a better job in constructing the team depth.

Congratulations to New Zealand for making to back to back finals. Hopefully, this time luck will on their side in the finals.
