Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United are the three bottom placed teams relegated from the 2020-21 Premier League.
And this will be the first time in Premier League history, three teams have already been relegated with three games still to play.
West Brom joined Sheffield in the relegation after going down 3-1 in the hands of Arsenal on Sunday. Fulham is the latest club to confirm their place in Championship for 2021-22 season after relegated by Burnley on Monday.
Scott Parker side handed 0-2 defeat on Monday by Sean Dyche side in a must win game for Fulham to keep their hopes of staying in premier league. After the game Fulham manager Parker shared his thoughts about 2020-21 season.
Scott said, “We’ve been in and around this situation for a while now, but that doesn’t hide the disappointment and the hurt I fell now. I’m gutted. This year, while we’ve had some improvements and pushed on in certain areas, we’ve fallen short. There’s been some positives but our goal was to stay in the league; we knew the challenge ahead but ultimately we’ve fallen short. This level is brutal”
Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic gives his brutal assessment on team’s performance. “We failed today, and we failed this season. It wasn’t good enough – we didn’t deserve it. I’ve played football long enough to know that at the end of the season, you finish where you deserve to be. I’m really sad for the fans, for the people in the club, it’s really tough. Tonight we didn’t show big character or big mentality, we cracked under the pressure and we weren’t good enough or brave enough”
