On deadline day Italy manager Roberto Mancini put to bed all speculation by releasing the names of the 26 players called up for Euro 2020. Giacomo Raspadori is a surprise, last-minute inclusion.
From the 28 players called up last Sunday, Gianluca Mancini, Matteo Pessina and Matteo Politano are the ones to miss out. The breaking news is the inclusion of Sassuolo forward Giacomo Raspadori, who was with Nicolato’s U21s at their Euros until yesterday and arrived at Italy’s training base during the night.

The 26 man-squad for UEFA Euro 2020, which was announced last night, has been ‘immortalised’ in front of the cameras together – with Matteo Pessina, who will remain with the group – for the official team photo wearing the Puma match kit and their Armani suit, joined by FIGC President Gabriele Gravina and head coach Roberto Mancini.
The location of the shoot was the main field of the Coverciano Federal Technical Centre, the ‘Vittorio Pozzo’ pitch.
