Manchester United finally completed the deal for highly coveted right winger Jadon Sancho from Bundesliga Champions, Borussia Dortmund. Both clubs confirm the reports with official statement.
According to multiple reports the fee to land Sancho will be around €85m (£73.1m, $100.7m). The final deal terms are yet to be released by Manchester United.
Jadon Sancho registered 10+ assists in each of his last three Bundesliga campaigns, becoming the first Englishman to reach 10 assists in three straight seasons in Europe’s top five leagues since David Beckham between 1997-98 and 2000-01 (four seasons).
Manchester United released official confirmation about the deal with a statement. “Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of Jadon Sancho.The signing is subject to contractual terms and a medical, which will be completed after Jadon’s involvement in the UEFA European Championship.“
Borussia Dortmund have released a financial statement confirming agreement over Jadon Sancho to Man Utd: “If the transfer is realized, Manchester United will pay BVB a fixed transfer fee of EUR 85.0 million.”
Jadon Sancho will join very rare company, the likes of Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Memphis Depay as a Manchester United mega-signing attacker under 23 years old.
