According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Atlanta Hawks set to hire their interim coach Nate McMillan as their head coach on a four year deal.
Per Woj, Atlanta president/GM Travis Schlenk told reporters that an agreement was in place to shed interim label after McMillan led Hawks to Eastern Conference Finals.
Under McMillan coaching, Hawks went deep in the 2021 NBA Playoffs. They have eliminated fourth seed New York Yankees in the first round and No.1 seed, Philadelphia 76ers in the second round before losing out to Milwaukee Bucks in six games in the conference finals.
