2021 Belgian Grand Prix weather forecast

After a four-week pause in proceedings, there’s arguably no better place to return to racing than Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for round 12 of 2021 season. Formula 1 returns from its annual summer shutdown this weekend and, just as no holiday is complete without a trip to the spa.

Spa is known for it’s Fast, flowing, with plenty of straights and elevation changes – and unpredictable weather. This year, there is chance of rain forecasted for all three days of the race weekend. Which will make the battle at front more interesting between Mercedes and Red Bull.

Friday Free Practice 1 & 2 (August 27)

Friday weather expected to be cloudy with 90% chance of light rain during practice sessions. Temperatures expected to be in the range of 16C on the maximum side.

Winds will be blowing across the track with a 10 to 15 km/h speed. It’s gonna be tough on the teams to get things right in the rain after a four weeks of summer break.

Saturday FP3 & Qualifying (August 28)

With Friday night rain forecast , the rubber from Friday running will be washed out and track will be green for FP3 on Saturday.

Because of cloud cover, Saturday temperatures are expected to be in the range of 17C. 80% chance of light rain forecasted for Qualifying…but for fans it’s a welcome sign, as rain will mix up the grid for Sunday’s race. Winds up to 10 to 15 km/h speed is expected to blow across the track.
