Los Angeles Lakers are playing awful basketball this season so far, they don’t have any offensive flow and their defense is no where near to last year’s production. Laker’s fans are frustrated with team’s performance, but on Friday night Lakers surrendered 13 point 4Q lead to division rivals Sacramento Kings in a 141-137 triple OT loss.
Super-Star players LeBron James and Anthony Davis not played well on both ends of the floor, they have shot combine 2 for 18 from three point range. They are settling for jumpers and three pointers when shots aren’t going in. This frustrated fans and coach Frank Vogel.
After the game, during post-game press conference both James and Davis accepted the blame for unacceptable loss.
Anthony Davis says shot quality can be improved at the end of games, attack the basket more toward the end of the game when the legs are gone. “We shot a lot of jump shots. All of us did.” But he says he’s more worried about the defensive end, where they’re letting teams rebound.
He also added Lakers needs to hit a winning streak, “We’re the Lakers. We got a team that’s well put together that can win 10, 12, 15 games in a row. We can do it. We just got to want to do it. We got to commit on the defensive end a little bit more for a full 48.”
“It’s up to us, we got to go out and do it…We got to grind for it, we got to work for it.”
Frank Vogel: “When you’re up 13 in the fourth quarter, you got to get that W.”
