The Indiana Pacers are trading all-star Domas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb and Justin Holiday to Sacramento Kings for Tyrese Hailburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson.
NBA insider and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news first, also The Pacers are including a 2027 second-round pick in the deal.
This is a massive deal for both struggling teams. Sacramento gets one of the best big man in Sabonis, who immediately gives them a versatile offensive piece at the center position, also a two-way wing in Holiday and a solid perimeter player in Lamb.
The Kings are just out of the Play-In race at this time and could look to push for a bid in the closing weeks of the season. Indiana, meanwhile, gets a core prospect in Haliburton to accelerate the rebuild , the second-year guard is one of the bright spots of Kings in 2021-22 season. Buddy Hield is also a capable shooter who could be flipped for future draft picks, as could Thompson.
