Rays manager Kevin Cash started 27 years old Tyler Allen Glasnow on the Mound for win or go home game, Glasnow was 10-0 in the season so far. The California Native started the game just on 2-days rest, but he delivered 2.1 shutout innings before replaced by Nick Paul Anderson.
Anderson gave away the only run of Yankees in top of 4th innings, when Aaron James Judge opposite field hit cross the wall to give New York 1-0 lead. Austin Meadows tie the score in the 5th inning with a towering home run of Gerrit Cole.
Mike Brosseau home run of Yankees closer Chapman in the bottom of 8th gave late lead for Rays. Peter Anderson Fairbanks and Diego Castillo each pitched 2 scoreless innings in the end to send Rays into ALCS for a show down with Houston Rockets.
It’s another disappointing post season exit for Yankees and Aaron Boone. Gerrit Cole strong pitching performance went in vain, Once again Yankees bats gone cold at the big stage, they have registered only 3 hits (Judge, Hicks and Torres) in 29 at bats.
Cole had another strong outing but their batting failed to back-up , Californian Native pitched 5.1 innings and allowed 1 hit,1 run,1 home run, walked 2 batters and struck out 9.
