After missing out in 2020 season due to COVID-19 Pandemic, But now the time is fast approaching for this long-awaited comeback, with the 2021 Dutch Grand Prix set to take place between September 3-5.

The last Dutch Grand Prix took place back in 1985, where Niki Lauda took victory for McLaren.

Dutch Grand Prix sporting director Jan Lammers says the upcoming event at Zandvoort as the biggest sporting event the nation has seen in the last decade.

Key to this event will be the fans – Max Verstappen’s loyal orange army of Dutch supporters now finally having a home race where they can cheer him on from the stands, a well-deserved easier commute after all that travelling.

Circuit organizers say, The capacity of this track is almost 90,000 seats. A sports stadium is being built on the Circuit with the capacity of twice the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

August 13 is when the Dutch government are set to provide clarity on the attendance which can be expected, but Lammers confirmed it is full steam ahead regardless as Zandvoort looks to play host to what he calls the Netherlands’ greatest sporting spectacle.

Sporting director Jan Lammers is enthusiastic about the F1 comeback to Netherlands in 2021 after missing in 2020. He said,

“The construction in Zandvoort is fascinating to see. We are still preparing for an event with all the public. Now that the corona figures are improving, we have plenty of reasons to look forward with confidence to the return of the Dutch Grand Prix after 36 years. It’s really impressive what’s already there. On June 26, we started building and building a truly unique world-class Dutch sporting event.”

Lammers describes the process as dealing with reality.

2021 Dutch GP , September 3-5.
Max Verstappen and Red Bull will do everything to win 2021 Dutch GP in-front of fascinating Orange army.

“We have to make sure we’re ready for it. That is our duty to all cardholders. We don’t have any other choice now, but we don’t have ball possession in terms of decision-making power. The ball is in the government’s court. But we are confident that the government measures will have the desired effect and that all outdoor sports events can continue at full capacity after September 1. The investigations of the Fieldlab events prove that and we want and can do it safely. It would also be a shame to have to break down all this beauty without being able to experience the battle for the world title live here in the Netherlands.”

After the summer break Formula 1’s first stop will be Spa-Francorchamps for the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix, before the Dutch Grand Prix hosts the second round of this triple-header ending in Monza.
