Sebastian Vettel had a forgettable Sunday during 70th Anniversary GP here in Silverstone. After starting from P11, he dropped to P20 in the very first lap after his SF1000 spun by hitting a Kerb. Though he managed to crawl back to TOP-10 during first pit-window,his chance of finishing in points dashed by poor strategy from Ferrari pit-wall.
His Teammate Charles Leclerc managed to come home in P4 after dropping to P10 in the first lap. Both Vettel and fans are not having any clue on why there is so much pace difference between two Ferrari cars. Whole weekend Charles Leclerc was holding 0.6 to 0.8 seconds advantage over Vettel.
Vettel was asked to pit for second time after just completing 10 laps in his hard tyre to give clear path to Charles Leclerc , who was behind Vettel at that time.
“Maybe we did not have the courage to let it come to Charles overtaking me, although he was on a different strategy and we prefered to rather pit me to avoid that.”
