The window for the eight IPL franchises to retain players for the Indian Premier League 2021 season closed today. 139 players were retained by the franchises whereas 57 players were released from their existing squads.
Chennai Super Kings were most disappointing team in IPL 2020, they missed the Play-offs after failing to finish in the top-4. They have retained 18 Players from the last season squad and released six players at the deadline day.
It’s not Surprise that they decided to part away with some familiar names, The Team looked Old and it was filled with lot of retired players during awful 2020 season. CSK will have 7 spots available to fill it before Next season, including one overseas slot created by the departure of Australian Veteran all-rounder and long time CSK player, Shane Watson.
Super Kings left with 22.90 cr INR cap room to fill those 7 spots during mini auction.
