Los Angeles outscored Denver in the second and third quarters, 67-41, leading by 11 points at the half and by 24 heading into the final quarter. Los Angeles out-assisted Denver, 33-23, while winning the turnover battle, 16-11.
In addition, the Lakers shot 53 percent from the field and 42 percent from three-point range while holding Denver to 49 percent from the field and 35 percent from long range.There were five lead changes and game was tied seven times before run away with big lead.
Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 37 points, 10 rebounds and four assists. LeBron James tallied 15 points, six rebounds and 12 assists. Dwight Howard led the bench with 13 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 21 points, six rebounds and two assists. Jamal Murray totaled 21 points and five assists. Michael Porter Jr led the bench with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
