Los Angeles Lakers beat Denver Nuggets 117-107 in Game 5 to Clinch first NBA Finals trip in 10 years. Lakers crowned as Western Conference Champions after defeating all three of their opponents 4-1 in 7 game series.

LeBron James led all scorers with 38 points along with 16 rebounds and 10 assists on 15 of 25 shooting from the floor. He become the first Lakers player to have a 35+ point, 15+ rebound triple-double in the playoffs since James Worthy in 1988.

Anthony Davis who picked up ankle injury during Game 4 win was questionable for tonight’s game, but with knowing importance of this game Lakers coach Frank Vogel put him in the starting line-up.The Big man didn’t disappoint at all, he scored 27 points on 8 of 16 from the floor and grabbed 5 boards.

Alex Caruso and Danny Green both chipped in with 11 points as well. No other Lakers player scored in double digits, but Dwight Howard had nine points and nine rebounds off the bench.

Jerami Grant paced the Nuggets with 20 points and nine rebounds, and he was one of six Denver players to reach the 10-point mark. Nikola Jokic also added 20 points while racking up seven rebounds and five assists to his name.

Jamal Murray sniffed a double-double since he posted 19 points with eight assists, and veteran Paul Millsap contributed 13 points. Monte Morris nearly had a double-double with 10 points and seven dimes.
