Los Angeles Lakers introduced their super-star acquisition of this off-season, Russell Westbrook to the fans and media with a press conference on Tuesday, August 10.
Westbrook was joined by GM Rob Pelinka and Head coach Frank Vogel in the introductory press conference.
Russell Westbrook said: “It’s surreal … being from L.A. … being able to watch the (championship) parades (as a kid) … it’s a blessing. Some of these dreams don’t come true for people like myself.”
Lakers GM Rob Pelinka said one thing that has stands out about Russell Westbrook is that his teammates love playing with him. He added that another major staple of Westbrook’s game is his constant competitiveness. “Russell stands in an elite class in that category.”
While Lakers Head coach Frank Vogel pointed out that LeBron, AD and Westbrook are all players that will make the right play, which should help the fit from a basketball standpoint.
