It suppose to be a Kershaw day at Dodger stadium on Opening Day. But unfortunately Dodgers ace headed to injured list just hours before start of the game with back stiffness.
Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Dustin May in place of injured Kershaw. As per MLB Stats, May become the youngest dodger pitcher to start on Opening Day since Fernando Valenzuela in 1983. May was 22 years, 321 days old on Opening Day.
