Los Angeles Lakers sign regaining 6th man of the year Montrezl Harrell from rivals Los Angeles Clippers on 2 year deal. According ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski the deal worth more than $19M and Montrezl has player option on second year of the deal.
Lakers used mid-level exception to sign the big man and now they have 2020 NBA 6th man of the year award winner & runner up in their squad for Next season. It’s really solid pick-up by Lakers GM Rob Pelinka after trading for Dennis Schroder, Harrell brings lot of energy and much needed scoring off the bench for defending champions, he averaged 14.8 paint points, 4th-most in the NBA behind Giannis, Zion and Westbrook. As a team, the Lakers averaged 52.8 paint points, 2nd-most in the league.
