Houston Rockets star and former MVP James Harden has been traded to Brooklyn Nets in a 4-Team Block Buster Trade, Multiple sources confirm the breaking news.
The Trade will send James Harden to Brooklyn to form a super team, by partnering with his former Thunder teammate, Kevin Durant and all-star guard Kyrie Irving. In return Rockets will receive Victor Oladipo, Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, 3 BKN first-rounders (22, 24, 26), 1 MIL first (22), 4 BKN 1st round swaps (21, 23, 25, 27).
According to Athletics’ NBA Insider, Shams Charania, All four first-round picks and all four first-round pick swaps to the Rockets are unprotected.
Pacers will land Net’s young star guard Caris LeVert , 2nd-rounder for expiring contract of all-star Victor Oladipo, while Cleveland Cavaliers land Nets’ big man Jarrett Allen and Taurean Prince.
The Trade brings an end to James Harden saga at Houston. Though Harden was on the trade block since start of the Free Agency and Rockets were reluctant to part away with their franchise player, but after recent comments from Harden about the team accelerated things at rapid speed.
“I love this city. I’ve literally done everything I can. This situation is crazy. It’s something I don’t think can be fixed. Thanks.” James Harden said in the post-game interview after a back-to-back blowout loss in the hands of defending champions Los Angeles Lakers.
Brooklyn Nets starting five looks mighty after the addition of James Harden but they have certainly lost depth, after moving out young talents like Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen.
