NBA Playoffs: Lakers defeat Blazers 116-108, take 2-1 lead

Lakers defeat Blazers 116-108 and take 2-1 lead in the Western Conference first round Playoff series.Fourth game of the series will be played on Monday 9 PM ET.

There were only two ties and three lead changes in this game, with Los Angeles riding a 40-29 third quarter to their victory. In fact, Portland never got the game within five for the final eight minutes of play after that quarter. The Lakers shot 50 percent from the field while holding the Blazers to 41 percent.

In addition, Los Angeles out-assisted Portland, 26-17, while out-rebounding them, 55-38. Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 34 points, five rebounds and seven assists. C.J. McCollum totaled 28 points, four rebounds and four assists. Carmelo Anthony accrued 20 points, six rebounds and four steals.

LeBron James led the Lakers with 38 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Anthony Davis tallied 29 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks. Alex Caruso led the bench with 10 points, four rebounds and seven assists.
