Denver Nuggets beat Los Angeles Lakers 114-106 in Game 3 of Western Conference Finals and Lakers still holds 2-1 narrow lead over Nuggets. The Game 4 of the seven game series will be played on Thursday.
After losing to AD’s buzzer beater in Game 2, Nuggets took care of business early and registered their first win of the series on Tuesday.
Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 28 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds, while Nikola Jokic chipped in with 22 points, 10 boards and five dimes. Jerami Grant was one of Denver’s most pleasant surprises since he ended with 26 points while shooting 7-for-11 from the field.
Monte Morris contributed 14 points, while Michael Porter Jr. filled the stat sheet — nine points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Both players created havoc off the bench.
LeBron James led the Lakers with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists, while Anthony Davis registered 27 points and only two rebounds. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 12 points and three boards, while Kyle Kuzma added 11 points off the bench. Rajon Rondo left his mark as well since he notched nine points, eight assists, three steals and two boards.

Denver as a team Out rebounded Lakers 44 to 25 and Lakers just shot 23.1 % from 3- point line on 6 of 26 shooting compared to Nugget’s 37.9%.
Lakers have a problem if their center’s are not stepping up their game against Jokic, they have to be more physical to stop Joker making easy plays for his team mates. Lakers shooters especially Danny Green and KCP needs to do better job.

Though the way Lakers played Zone defense in the final quarter and erased 20 point lead and came within 3 points of Nuggets is encouraging, but they have to do better job on both ends of floor to move forward to Finals against this juggernaut Nuggets.
