Manchester City’s youngster Phil Foden has been named as the 2020/21 Premier League Hublot Young Player of the Season.
Phil take social media to thank all the people who voted for him to win the award “Thank you to everyone who voted for me as the premier league Young Player of the Season! Proud of our whole team and appreciate the amazing support you have given us all this season!”
The 21-year-old City star has been honored for his outstanding performances over the course of what was a memorable and hugely successful campaign for the newly crowned champions.
And it also caps a prestigious awards hat-trick for City with Pep Guardiola having been named as Premier League Manager of the Season and Ruben Dias confirmed as Premier League Player of the Season.
Foden went from strength to strength over the course of the 2020/21 season, with the attacking midfielder playing a pivotal role in helping inspire City to claim a third Premier League title in four years.
The England international made a huge impact, weighing in with nine goals from his 17 Premier League starts and 11 appearances from the bench.
Foden also contributed five assists in the league campaign as well as hugely impressing with his all-round vision, creation and tireless work rate. One of his standout performances came in the 4-1 victory at 2019/20 champions Liverpool, when he scored one goal and set up another.
The Stockport-born product of City’s famed Academy also played decisive roles in helping City secure a fourth successive Carabao Cup and reach a first-ever Champions League final.
And Foden is also set to be a key figure in England’s Euro 2020 campaign which gets underway next weekend.
