PL: Tottenham Hotspur drops new Nike home kit for 2021-22 season.

Tottenham Hotspurs unveiled new Nike Home Kit for the 2021/22 season, which pays tribute to the Club’s iconic cockerel crest in its centenary year.

The cockerel was worn on the Club’s shirts for the first time in the 1921 FA Cup Final victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Jimmy Dimmock scoring the only goal in a 1-0 victory.

The original cockerel features on the inner pride of the new white Home jersey. The kit is completed with navy blue shorts and socks, featuring a white Nike swoosh.

To further mark the launch of the new Home Kit and 100 years of the cockerel, club statement says:

• The first 1,921 fans to purchase a new shirt will receive a complimentary special edition Cadbury chocolate bar.
• Fans will have the chance to purchase a special edition Home shirt featuring unique 100th anniversary printing on the back.

As part of their wider Move to Zero initiative – a journey towards zero carbon and zero waste – Nike are focused in scaling the usage of lower-carbon material alternatives. Recycled polyester reduces carbon emissions by up to 30 per cent compared to virgin polyester and, since 2010, Nike has been using this material to produce football kits.

Tottenham Hotspur is equally dedicated to minimising the environmental impacts of its activities across all Club operations and was this year named the English Premier League’s greenest club following a study carried out by BBC Sport and the UN-backed Sport Positive Summit.

The Club has also led the way in terms of single-use plastic reduction, including:

• Eliminating the use of plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery and all plastic disposable packaging that accompanies these items at the stadium.
• Implementing a reusable beer cup scheme at the stadium where cups are collected after matches, taken off site to be washed, and then returned for further use.
• Carton water used by our players instead of bottled water at all home matches.
