Manchester United Manager fielded same side that beat Sheffield United against Brighton. Bruno Fernandes and Progba starting in the midfield along with Matic and Mason Greenwood.
United dominated the proceedings with nice holding play in the midfield. And their high ball possession play didn’t disappoint as they found the target in the form of teenage sensation Mason greenwood, he scored a lovely solo goal with his trademark dribble at 16th minute.
Thirteen minutes later, United’s new arrival Bruno Fernandes double the united lead with deflected shot into right side of the net,the goal was assisted by Progba. Though TV replay showed that the ball was out and played-in by Greenwood in the build up to the Bruno’s goal, it was too late for referees to go back for VAR verification.
United were better side in the first half and they were 2-0 up at break.
Brighton started well in the second half and they forced De Gea to make some tough saves. But United scored their third goal at 50th minute with a perfect counter attack football, this time Greenwood setup the goal for Bruno’s second goal of the night with nice cross.
