Chances of Rain and Thunder storms forecasted for the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix weekend at Spielberg, Austria.
Typically rain during Saturday’s Qualifying and Sunday’s race is a welcome sign, as it adds another element of unpredictability into the outcome. But rain on Friday practice sessions will limit teams ability to run the planned program.
There is a 7% chance of rain predicted for Friday Practice session on June 25th, also temperatures can reach up to 29C with Wind Gusts of 9 km/h blowing across the track.
Similar to Friday, 7% chance of rain forecasted for Saturday Free Practice three and Qualifying, Saturday will be little cooler than Friday with max temperature of 24C is predicted for Qualifying session. Wind will pickup it’s strength compared to Friday, 11 km/h Gusts predicted for important qualifying session.
There is 25% probability of rain predicted for Sunday main race on June 27th. The temperature will be in the range of 28C(High) and 13C(Low). 13 km/h Wind Gusts will impact cars and drivers on Sunday.
Even though chances of raining during Qualifying and race is pretty low, Friday night rains can cause tracks more abrasive, which will impact tire wear.
